Fontainhas Kite Making Workshop
Panaji, Goa, India
January 16, 2004

The Goa International Kite Carnival officially started with the kite making workshop at a plaza in one of Panaji’s old Portuguese districts called Fontainhas. The plaza was surrounded by narrow streets lined with small shops and galleries in tiled buildings with tiny overhanging balconies.
The workshop lasted a little over 2 hours. We handed out between 150-200 kite kits. It was great to see the workshop kites being the first ones flown at the carnival the next day.
